The Ron Adea Concert
"A Disability Becomes an Ability"

Ron is a gifted twenty seven years old special young man, who was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. Ron started to manifest his love to music at the age of 7.

Ron has performed at several functions for different organizations in Canada and the Philippines, including Fil-Can Autism Parent Support Group, Fil. Health and Education Foundation Canada, Autism Society Ontario, Geneva Centre for Autism, Kerry's Place for Autism, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation, Community Living Mississauga, Jake's House and Autism Society Philippines.

His first guest appearance in a concert was at Jenifer Camacho's special event at Rendezvous, in Mississauga on March 10, 2007. It was Ron’s first public appearance and followed by couple of his guesting on her several concerts in Toronto. Ms. Camacho is one of Toronto’s famous concert performer.

On May 23, 2009, Ron had his first major solo concert at the Brae Ben Golf Course in Mississauga, Ontario and was attended mostly by guests who have touched Ron's life. It was a fundraising event for the Autistic Kids of Picard, Paete Intervention Center for Autism and Other Related Disorder, in Paete, Laguna, Philippines. He also launched his first CD entitled "My Music and Me".

Ron had the honour of being the Symposium Ambassador for the Geneva Centre for Autism held at the Metro Convention Centre in November 2010. And on May 2011, he performed for the Centre's Gala Night and Auction at the Koerner Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. He was also the recipient of the Mississauga Streetsville Musicorp award in 2013.

On June 8, 2013, he presented a graduation gift to his Alma Mater, the St Joan of Arc Secondary School, a concert entitled "A Night to Remember" held at Brampton Golf Club, where he also launched his 2nd CD "A Quiet Night with Ron".

On October 18, 2015, he performed with other two individuals with special needs, in their concert entitled "Our Voice" at the City Playhouse Theatre in Vaughn, Ontario. His 3rd CD entitled "One More Time", a compilation of his favourite classical pieces including the 5th Symphony for 4 hands by Beethoven where he played with his piano teacher Ms. Eileen Keown, was launched.

Another opportunity was given to him when he accompanied Ms. Thara Marie Sakhrani Santiago, also a gifted and accomplished vocalist, who sang at the Angels Walk for Autism, on February 5, 2017 at Mall of Asia in Manila. This annual event was initiated by Autism Society Philippines, attended by guests from all over the Philippines.

On March 30, 2017, he was invited to play for the Gala Night Fundraising Event of Community Living Mississauga, where they honour prominent people in the community. He played the piano and gave a short speech in front of 1500 guests at Mississauga Convention Centre. Community Living Mississauga is a non profit, charitable organization that supports individuals who have intellectual disability.

Just recently, he was so fortunate to be able to play with the Supertramp's Roger Hodgson’s “ Give A Little Bit" on stage through @Jake’s House Fundraising Event held at Sony Centre last April 2nd, 2019.

And to top it all, Ron will be having his very first concert in Manila, on January 18, 2020 at Teatrino, Greenhills Promenade in San Juan City. Please join us and be a part of this great cause as he shares his music for the benefit of the children with autism in the Philippines, through the Home Empowerment Program of the Autism Society Philippines.

Though he has been very busy with his part time job at Tim Hortons and with his participation at the Special Olympics bowling and swimming, he still finds time to be an instrument of various special events that benefit persons with special needs. And he also volunteers his time playing classical pieces to the Residents of VIVA Retirement Home and joined the church choir "One Voice" to thank God for all the gifts He showered him.

Music is Ron's form of expression, it has played a significant role in helping Ron to overcome his disability.......where Disability becomes an Ability.
