Beethoven Festival 2020
Joining the music world in celebrating the 250th Birth Anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven,  the Beethoven Festival 2020 opens Feb. 22 with his chamber music.  Three exquisite masterpieces will be perform by three distinguished artists: pianist Mariel Ilusorio, violinist Jeanne Rafaella Marquez and cellist Justin Vincent Louie Talusan.  The concert will be held at the Manila Piano,  Ronac Lifestyle Center,  Paseo de Magallanes,  Makati City, at 7:30 p.m.

Ilusorio has conquered the international music arena with her sensitivity,  impeccable musicality and beautiful tone.  A graduate of Juilliard School of Music, later of the Oberlin Conservatory before studying with the internationally acclaimed pianist and pedagogue Ari Vardi in Hannover, Germany, she won international piano competitions, including the Maria Canals Piano Competition in Barcelona,  East Friesland Piano Competition in Germany and Carlo Saliva International Piano Competition in Italy. She has performed in all major concert hall in Europe, the US and Asia.

Two of the country's most promising young artists today,  Marquez and Talusan are both winners of the 2018 National Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA) with the former bringing home the grand prize.  Both artists are pioneers of the Manila Symphony Junior Orchestra and have performed in Asia and in Europe with the group.

The three artists will perform the monumental Archduke Trio,  Kreutzer Sonata for Violin and Piano and the first Cello Sonata.  The festival is presented by Manila Piano in partnership with Cultural Arts Events Organizer, Embassy of Singapore, DZFE.FM The Master's Touch and the Herietta Sydeco Tanyenco Limjoco Foundation.  For tickets, call Ticketworld  at 8891-9999 and CAEO at tel. no. 8782-7164,  cell nos. 0918-347-3027 and 0920-954-0053.
